I'd be interested in serious research contrasting the effects of light smoking vs. serious long-term obesity. It's very possible that modern vaping has almost tipped the balance back in favor of smoking - wouldn't that be a trip?

I am still puffing one a day that for some reason I cannot give up entirely. But the vape helps keep most cravings at bay. I want alot more research to come out about vaping, this would be a good one

In fairness, some people smoke all their lives and never get problems, others get nailed seemingly right out the door. Old lady Calment in France smoked for decades on end. If the tobacco industry were canny, they'd be focusing on how to ID genetic markers for the ability to keep smoking forever. Maybe they already are...

As has been pointed out, it's bad business if customers *die*, because it's bad for revenue. Upping addictivity is a poor substitute.
